Top Chef....in our house.

I spent a lot of time in the kitchen this weekend. Wanna see?

My husband requested this combo for breakfast: waffles, strawberries, bananas, syrup, powdered sugar and toasted almonds. A side of bacon came with it.

A little evening dessert. Frozen chocolate dipped bananas and chocolate dipped fresh strawberries.Coconut Chai Breakfast Cake Yum! Very hearty too.

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, a.k.a. Derby (like) Pie. In Kentucky, folks take Derby Pie seriously. The name is copyrighted. However, my husband and anyone else who has tasted mine, agrees that it is better than the original.

Now, I bet you are thinking "God, did these people eat nothing but desserts all weekend?"

The answer is no. I did cook other things, but they weren't as photo friendly. Like:

  • Pulled Pork Sandwiches
  • Bourbon Baked Beans
  • Patty Melt
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Toasted Raviolis & Mozzarella Sticks w/marinara
Plus, don't forget the pretzels in the previous post.

Bon Appetit!
