Chocolate Tasting & Results

In my Blogging By Mail package there were three very unique chocolate bars from the ever unique Vosges Chocolates.

Tonight we did an official tasting and review of each one.

First up was the Woolloomooloo Bar described as:

Macadamia nuts and coconut meld with deep milk chocolate as if they were meant to be. Boost your beauty too: hemp oil will provide softer skin, stronger nails and thicker hair. Shine inside and out.

Woolloomooloo 41% cacao: Roasted & salted macadamia nuts + Indonesian coconut + hemp seeds + deep milk chocolate.

Review: We liked this but really didn't taste anything specific until some saltiness at the end which we liked.

*******

Next was the Black Pearl Bar described as:

Inhale warming ginger as menthol-nuanced wasabi cools. Sense the evolution of flavors in the mouth. Commence with ginger, followed by earthy cacao notes, mellow wasabi reminiscent of coriander, finishing with black sesame seeds, rich in nutty texture.

Black Pearl 55% cacao: Ginger + wasabi + black sesame seeds + dark chocolate.

Review: We loved this. Everything from the subtle spiciness of the wasabi to the crunch of the sesame seeds.

*******

Lastly, we tried the Naga Bar described as:

Named and inspired by the tribes of Northeast India, taste the flavors of toasted milk, sweet Indian curry, nutty coconut and an overall sensation of warm, rounded spice.

Naga 41% cacao: Sweet Indian curry + coconut + deep milk chocolate.

Review: Neither of us cared for this one. I am not a curry fan and the hubby thought it tasted too powdery in his mouth.

The winner?

You guessed it - Black Pearl Bar.

I will be getting more of this one.

I'm surprised. Of the three my fav. is the Naga, I may have to give the Black Pearl another try.
