Energy Source

I have heard a lot lately about B12 shots. They seem to be all the rage at spas that specialize in Botox and the like. I've also been told by a few friends that they have given them better results than diet pills. Though they aren't really marketed as a diet aid, more for energy levels.

Just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with them.

Who couldn't use more energy?

Here in Canada we have something called the Dr Bernstien diet (don't know if you ahve it int he US). It is a medically supervised very low cal diet that includes B12 shots. It supposedly works because it ultra low cal and the B12 helps to burn fat instead of muscle. A friend was on it and lost 20 lbs but it is pricey and she got tired of the diet and the shots. If it requires a needle a few times per week, count me out!

Ha my verification word is THEPIG...someone tryin to tell me something?...

I asked my doctor about them. He did a blood test to check my B12 level. Avg. is 180-400...mine was 1,480. I don't think I need B12 shots.

My mom took them for years and swears by them. She hasn't for a while and I think it is just because she changed doctors. She also has a thryod(sp) problem so I am sure that was a contributing factor to needing the shots.
