Chatty Cathy

I have as many fears and phobias as the average person, or more. I suffer from the same lack of confidence in varying situation as the next person. However, one thing I have never experienced is public speaking anxiety.

I guess it is just because talking comes easily for me (not surprised about that, are you?).

I have done presentations to hundreds of people, facilitated classes and emceed festivities with an entire community for an audience.

However, thinking about all that does cause me a little twinge of “what the hell were you thinking?”

As an academic communications teacher, I can't even imagine the money that company is making (unless it is a joke...please tell me it is a joke!!!).

I have communication anxiety and have had it most of my life but that hasn't stopped me from giving speeches to thousands and thousands of people. You definitely don't need to take that drug to combat the anxiety they describe!
