This one could be hard

Thus far, fostering hasn't been hard. Not in time requirements, hassle or emotional expense when they part. I felt a little twinge for Oscar when we left him last weekend, but it was mostly because I knew he was in a great place and had a wonderful family that would meet his needs. I hope to see him again so I can see the joy in his eyes.

We got a new foster yesterday. She's only been here 24 hours and I can tell you now, I could get really attached to this one. Her name is Leia, as in Princess Leia. She is a 3 year old silver miniature schnauzer. She looks somewhat like the last schnauzer we had but a much different dog. Very sweet, very personable and very cuddly.






A good friend and colleague is going to adopt her so we will probably be forfeiting her as early as this weekend. But I think it will be too late as this one has captured my heart. She has similar tendencies to Murphy and I didn't expect that.

Susan will be getting a great dog and at least I'll get to see her.
