Really? Really?

The Social Security Administration recently released the Top 100 Baby Names for 2008 per state.

In Kentucky, the #1 most popular female name was Madison. Seems kind of dated to the 90's, but hey we are in the middle of the country - takes time for trends to reach us.

Farther down on the list at #62 - Miley. There are sixty nine Mileys in Kentucky now. Words cannot express my disappointment.

The #1 most popular male name was....William. Really?

That seems, well odd. The #2 was Jacob, #3 was James, #4 was Ethan, #5 was Landon...these seem more in line with what I read in articles, hear hollered across restaurants and in WalMart.

But William just seems - outdated. What do you think? Maybe it is a family name. Loads of Billy Jr.'s I guess.

You ever hear where the name Miley came from? Her real name is Destiny Rose or something like that - but they nicknamed her Smiley, which she pronounced....you got it...Miley. DUH

So all those kids have a name from a lisping 2 yr old :D
