Their house is already invisible fenced front and back, plus metal fence in back. He should be very secure.

Oscar was a surprise for the 8 year old boy. Mia has kind of been the mom and sister's dog so he wanted one of his own, plus they wanted a playmate for Mia.
They got that. They sniffed, jumped and did that cute dog pose where they put their butts in the air while their front legs are front down - tail wagging. Basically it says "come get me". And off they went. It was like watching Cady and Oscar all over again.
The little boy wasn't there when we got there as planned just in case they two dogs didn't hit it off and he wouldn't have his heart broke. He didn't know which dog they had been looking at or when it was coming.
When he walked in the door, it was magical. "My dog, my dog! All right boy, you can sleep with me tonight." Oscar kissed and kissed and Sean hugged and squeezed him. Then outside they ran.
Nothing like seeing a boy with his new best friend.
I think Oscar has a real good home and great chance of being a dynamic part of that family.
I was surprised at the twinge in my chest and a slight tear in my eye as I said goodbye. Oscar is sweet but he can try your patience and he is a big lug so I really didn't think I had grown that attached. As we walked out the back gate and across the drive, he barked a few times but settled right down.
As did I.
The house is mighty quiet tonight.
