This month's book was at the least, disappointing. Any part I had in choosing it - I deeply apologize for.
Besides feeling a bit lectured, it read like a college textbook and that isn't a compliment. Intense and analytical - not two words I describe a book club for fun book. I didn't even finish it.
Next month's choice looks much more entertaining - My Life in France.

I enjoyed the book, except for the psychoanalysis references (I dislike psychoanalysis). But then, I'm a social scientist. I was expecting something for a general audience, too, though.
I'll have my review of the book up later. Maybe tomorrow.

i was feeling badly for not reading this month's book, but maybe now i'm glad i didn't!
I am finishing up "Talking With My Mouth Full.." Thanks for the recomendation. I have enjoyed it. I seem to stay in my little box of receipe cards so it really interesting to see outside that world. I am marking some pages to photo copy and try. Thanks so much. Although I know I won't go too far! I really love to bake so I am sure I will focus there.
