Things I learned from the weather

When we had the wind storm back in September and were without electricity for a week, I learned a few things:

• You can never have too many batteries.
• It is amazing what you can cook on the grill.
• All candles are not the same. What I mean is pillar candles don’t serve the same purpose as a jar candle when you need to light up a house and scented candles in mass quantity – are nauseating.
• 9 months later, there is an extraordinary amount of women due with a baby. Apparently they found something to do in the dark.
