Wet or Dry?

Do you have a basement? Is it wet or dry?

I remember my grandmother’s basement as a child. It always got wet when it rained and she always had a dehumidifier running afterwards.

Well, after our year long battle with remodeling our basement, finding and removing mold, paying way too much for a professional to install a second sump pump, buried drain pipes and removing a huge tree root – we think (hope and pray) we are finally dry for good.

Through all the spring rains and storms – we are still doing well. I hate to even mention it for fear of jinxing us.

But for peace of mind and to ensure the money we put in flooring, cabinetry, etc. wasn’t for waste down there, we purchased a Ebac dehumidifiers.

Like everything my husband does, this was probably overkill. But I can live with it.
