So we got a new refrigerator delivered this week. The one in the kitchen was old - soooo old. I wouldn't even eat the ice from the maker. What was white in its original state was now beige from time.
So a new black side by side with ice and water in the door and these handy produce bins right inside the door in addition to the ones buried at the bottom. I really like it.
However, we were amiss when we cleaned out the old one the night before. I take full responsibility as I was the remover and he was the relocator in the other fridge in the pantry.
But I forgot to lift the butter doors where I store - yes my butter. So besides losing a brand new container of Brummel & Brown, and a brand new box of salted butter - I lost my butter dish.
It was glass with a hammered silver top. It was from Southern Living and though I am a consultant, it has retired and I can no longer purchase it.
Aside from really liking its style, it was part of a set. Sigh.
We always do this. When we trade our vehicles in, inevitably we leave something in it. Once I left a CD in the player, another time I left sunglasses in storage compartment, and recently my husband left his cell phone charger in his trade in.
When we traded my car in last week (did I tell you I got new wheels), I started to drive away when for some unknown reason I remembered my parking garage card for work in the old vehicle.
I am glad I did because we travel a good little distance to stay with the same car dealership and salesman because they don't give us the "crap" that is typical to buying a car. We do it all online or over the phone and just go pick it up. Love it!
Probably part of the reason this is my fourth vehicle in six years. If it was more difficult I might actually stay with one for more than two years -- or not.
Anyway it would have been an expensive leave this time. Thanks little voice whoever you were.

Love the fridge! Very sleek. Glad you got rid of the white. Husband and I have vowed to never live in a place with white appliances again.
Sorry about the butter dish. Soooo something I would also have done. Maybe you could find it on ebay or something.
Details about the CAR!! I can't believe you didn't tell us about this.
The old fridge was actually black, but the trim inside the ice dispenser on the front used to be white, it was a disgusting faded yellow after god only knows how many years. All my appliances are black so it looks good in the kitchen. Which by the way I have ready to take photos...soon I promise.
I've been watching ebay for the butter dish too. Thanks.
