Foreign Territory

When I was a kid, I rode my bike all the time. I swear there were days I ate lunch riding my bike in the summer. It was the first thing I thought about doing when I got up and only came home at dusk because my mother was hollering for me down the street. Her favorite phrase was "homeward bound".  Hee, hee. That made me warm and fuzzy inside to remember that.

I never wore a helmet riding my bike. I am not saying it is wrong to, just saying I lived without it. No one in my generation did. Of course, we didn't use seat belts either. Not saying either was the wisest choice.

I have to buy a gift and on my list are equestrian helmets. I could probably pick out a bicycle helmet, but I am lost in this world. Any advice?
