Decisions

We are thinking and pre-planning a small home project in the loft. Currently there is an ugly mirrored metal wall behind the cabinets and glass shelves. I want to remove the shelves and metal, including the oak frame. Then hang a couple enclosed cabinets that I can put the glassware and liquor in and not have to dust it every week (like I actually do that). But I want to make a new backdrop between the cabinets out of tile. I prefer the look of glass tile but not so much the price. I keep reminding myself to use it as accent, but still. Any tips from my professional tiling friends?
