Eighth Dog Placed

Our foster dog, Paisley, went to a new home last week. It seems like a great fit. They are good dog people and have one dog the same age as Paisley. The initial introduction went amazingly well and she has been there now eight days.



We have had Paisley for 6 months. That is longest ever. The record before that was Jasper for 6 weeks.

I miss her and I suspect the transition was a little hard on her as she believed she was already at home. I have resisted the temptation to call or visit to check on her beyond the first day. It will be easier on her if she doesn't see us until she has established her routine.

We'll wait another week or two to make sure this one takes and then we'll move on to foster #9. Wonder who that will be?
