Tumor or Tulip

I love this word. It sounds jolly, fun and complicated - all at the same time.

It's meaning? Not so much.

It is a noun and can be:

  1. the thin process of tissue that attaches a polyp to the body
  2. stalk bearing an inflorescence or solitary flower
  3. a bundle of myelineated neurons joining different parts of the brain
  4. erect leafless flower stalk growing directly from the ground as in a tulip
  5. an abnormal proliferation of tissue - as in a tumor
