With all that has been going on with Mom in the past few months, I have been reminded of what is truly important in life. And, that only you can set the priorities in your own life.

In my life, friends are very valuable and I have realized I need to be more proactive in showing that.

I just learned that one of Mom's dear friends and her daughter showed up at her house early in the morning last week and pulled the weeds from her many flower gardens.

Weeds is not something you would normally find in my mother's flower gardens but circumstances this year has prevented her from tending to her gorgeous flowers.

She even has some fear of going out to do that because of the disease and her compromised immune system - though the doctor has assured her she is fine to do so.

Their act of kindness has moved me greatly and I just want to say "thank you".
