Alternatives

This dish looks really good. Very spring-like.



I just wonder what you could use besides mushrooms (I despise mushrooms).

I think I will try this tonight. I have some asparagus yearning to be used and some chicken. Maybe that is enough? I'll let you know.

How about edamame? or some sauteed shallots? I am making a bacon, chicken & edamame alfredo tonight

I admit, I have never eaten edamame, nor do I know how to prepare it. Please share!

I buy it frozen in and out of the pods. For this dish it was without pods, but you cook the same way for both. Simply boil in salted water for about 7 mins. I find it has a slight corn taste - but nothing strong.
