We have lived here for about 20 months. It was two years ago this month that we first toured this house. Keep that in mind as I tell you what we recently discovered.
There is a Jenn Air cook top in our kitchen island. The burner I use the most has been giving me problems - inconsistent temperature, control knob sticking, etc. Finally a couple weeks ago I mentioned it to the hubby. He pulls out the product manual to see what he can learn about parts, service needs, etc.
After reading it, he comes into the kitchen and opens the cabinet under the cook top. I never use it because it has all the mechanics of the cook top in it. He proceeds to pull out a griddle, element, drip pan and grills.
I have a built in griddle and grill for my cook top!
This is something I have always wanted, but didn't know I had.

Would you not advertise this as a selling point for your home?
I am actually thankful that my burner broke or god knows how many years I would have went without discovering this.

Needless to say after a good scrubbing, we had steak and potatoes on the new grill that night. And since then Sears has come replaced my control panel so all my burners work.
Is this what they call a silver lining?
