When I was asked to review an advanced copy of Gale Gand's newest cookbook, Brunch!, I couldn't say yes fast enough. I mean it is Gale Gand and it is brunch - need I say more.
I was so pleased when I returned from staying at the hospital with mom to find my very own pre-released copy waiting for me. I've been reading and reviewing and yes, marking the pages of recipes I will be trying. It is how I read a cookbook.

See for yourself...

I have to say I am enamored with this book. Brunch as you know is my favorite meal of the day and there are so many great ideas in this book. For instance - Watermelon Gazpacho! Doesn't that just sound yummy on a hot summer morning. I can't wait for melon season.
Then when I discovered Chocolate Waffles I physically felt my heart rate increase. What a great idea for a dessert for a dinner party!
I couldn't decide between the Corn and Parmesan Fritters and the Peanut Butter & Jelly Turnovers. So I finally made the decision based on what I had available in the pantry today without making a trip to the store.

And I had apples.
The dish we dined on for brunch today was Caramelized Apple Crepes. Dined is probably not the appropriate word - devoured, demolished, inhaled - you get the point.

Easy to make and divinely decadent to eat.
I feel so privileged to have this cookbook in my collection. I foresee many stains on the pages of this baby.
