We are not a sports household. Neither of us care about watching any sport, unless maybe dog agility competitions count.
But both of our families are die hard fanatics. David’s 90 year grandmother will take to her bed if the Louisville Cardinals lose, and on that bed will be Denny Crum blanket.
So if you see us out and about buying sports gifts - you know why.

I live in Champaign, IL, home of the fighting Illini. Football, basketball, the town goes wild, there are billboards, tvs, newspapers, radios...and I still manage, most of the time, to have no idea that there's a game on any given day.
I figure it out when the townfolk are drenched in orange and blue, or, if I'm very unlucky, when I'm merrily driving to Mom's house and find myself stuck in gameday traffic, making a 7-minute drive last about 50.
You'd think the traffic alone would encourage me to stay on top of the schedules...but no.
