Go Ask Alice

Today we went to the "theatre" to enjoy our season tickets. Louisville has a great professional actor's theatre and this was quite possibly one of most enjoyable shows we've ever seen over the years.

Rock & Roll: The Reunion Tour is everything a rock concert is, without the vomit and morning headache. It is a play about a concert and a concert about a play.

Smart, witty, and contained the just right amount of audience interaction, which is the best thing about live stage performances anyway.

The 80+ year old people sitting beside us left at intermission. I heard him tell her "the music isn't bad, it is all that other stuff". Stuff? You mean the play?

Excellent writing and performances, but the music - aah the music. It reminds you why you loved bands like The Rolling Stones and Jefferson Airplane. I had totally forgotten how much I liked the White Rabbit (heading to iTunes next).

It also reminded you of your first 45 record or your first AM pocket radio. Where you were when you discovered rock and roll?

Local folks - go see it. Not so local folks - watch for it in a city near you.
