Thanksgiving Menu

Over the past eight years, I have often made menus for various dinners I've hosted. Pretty little menus with ribbon or vellum or embellishments. My mother-in-law especially has always enjoyed these and actually made a wall hanging out of all the ones I've done for her. I haven't done them in a couple years.

With her Alzheimer's progressing, I try to make things as good for as I can while she still notices or remembers. So I think this year I will make some menus for every one's place setting.

What's on the menu?

Unless something changes, this is what I will be serving our party of 11:

  • Cheese, Fruit & Cracker Tray
  • Roasted Turkey
  • Sage & Onion Dressing
  • Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Wild Rice Cranberry Salad
  • Corn Salad w/Pecan Dressing
  • Broccoli & Strawberry Salad
  • Balsamic Glazed Carrots
  • Pear and Red Onion Gratin
  • Homemade Yeast Rolls
  • Pumpkin Bread Pudding w/Vanilla Rum Sauce
  • Chocolate Pecan Pie
  • Pumpkin Pie
Now I am hungry.

What a lovely touch! I love the menu idea, and your planned dinner sounds delicious.

Yum! My dinner for 10 has suddenly gone to hell, and now it will be just Clint and I for dinner on Thursday. All Turkey day efforts will now be put into a Saturday brunch, before my son heads back to base. So, that will be fun too. Menu t/c. (that's printer talk for "to come")

My word verification is muttenl. We will not having mutton for brunch.

OMG! Have you reminded me lately that I need to move to KY?? I would totally invite myself to this shindig. That is the most spectacular menu I have ever seen. I won't even tell you what we're having. UGH.
