I hate to see fall - fall

I know winter is just around the corner. It comes with Christmas.

But I love fall - the colors, the food, the weather.

We have a huge maple tree in our front yard that turns the most beautiful yellow-orange color every year. Every morning that I have left this week I kick myself for not having grabbed my camera to get a shot.

It rained yesterday.

When I got home, my beautiful tree was all over the ground.

In our backyard, under the deck by hot tub, we have a Japanese maple tree that has turned the richest red color this fall. I can see it from my office window as I type.

It has these amazing lacy, delicate leaves. Mother Nature is certainly an artist.

Beautiful photos! I get melancholy about the leaves falling too...

Congrats on winning third place in the Joust! Your dish looked awesome!

Hey, Melody. Thanks for the kind words about needing to take care of myself. You know, emotionally, I checked out a long time ago - now, it is just the going through the legal system that exhausts me. (There are no kids involved in this divorce, so really it is pretty simple, or so you'd think.)
Take care!!
