Wine Tasting

While in California I discovered a fondness for chardonnay. I never gave them much thought before but I have become addicted to that wonderful butteryness.

So on a recent trip to the local Liquor mega-warehouse, I purchased four bottles of chardonnay at four different price points. I also had one at home given as a housewarming gift a year ago, unopened.

Recently we held our own wine tasting and comparison.

The contenders:

2007 Kunde Estates

2007 Benzinger

2004 Haywood

2006 Greg Norman

2005 Rodney Strong

Our favorite: 2004 Haywood

Our least favorite: 2005 Rodney Strong

The most expensive: 2005 Rodney Strong

The least expensive: 2004 Haywood

The results: (other than my husband being wasted by the time we were done, what a light weight) - we like cheap wine.

well duh
