The New Siskel & Ebert

Over the past week we have been on a movie marathon. Here is our recap of the winners and losers:
Smart People - This was an interesting role for Dennis Quaid and Juno star Ellen Page. Not riveting and not exciting, just average.

Hard Candy - In a word? Twisted. I don't know if psychological thriller is the right description, but it certainly is another side to Juno. We do like Patrick Wilson whom we watched in the next movie as well.

Little Children - One of those movies that shows you several seemingly unconnected groups of people and as the movie progresses, they intersect. Some gratuitous nudity and sex, which of course with Patrick Wilson involved, I am not complaining.

In The Valley of Elah - We are big Tommy Jones' fans as well as Charlize Theron, so this wasn't a hard choice. It is a sobering reminder of what is going elsewhere to keep our asses safe.

Your Friends & Neighbors - Nothing like watching a 10 year old movie. It was different. The weird part is the actors keep connecting and weaving through the whole movie list. Jason Patrick was in this one and In The Valley of Elah.

You decide who is the winner and the loser. It is all about perspective anyway.
