The eyes of the world are upon us.

There is this little golf game you might have heard of - the Ryder Cup? Well it is being played in our front yard, almost.

The frenzy is starting locally. These flags went up last week. They line both sides of the road for about a mile. I am standing at the entrance of our subdivision of which I can see my house from, while taking these photos.

Those white buildings you see in the background are actually super huge tents constructed on the golf course. There are more than a dozen to accommodate the festivities.

Traffic is dramatically increased lately too. But we've been reassured that since they are shuttling all visitors in - there should not be a problem getting to our home next week.

We'll see.

Addendum: I found this in the newspaper today.

Six-hundred million viewers in 177 countries are expected to watch the event worldwide, and 240,000 spectators are expected to attend the event at Valhalla Golf Club.

We're screwed.
