In honor of her birthday this month, Stephanie over at Dispensing Happiness is holding her monthly Blog Party with the Birthday theme.

Since we are supposed to bring a dish and a drink, it seemed oh so appropriate to celebrate her birthday with Margarita Cupcakes.
I totally borrowed this recipe from Confections of a Foodie Bride and they are wonderful. The only thing I did different was add just a couple tablespoons of orange juice to the frosting. It made it smoother to frost and added another hit of citrus.

These were oh so yummy. My mother described them as "adult cupcakes" - in other words not sticky sweet, which I think is just perfect.
I hope the birthday girl likes them. Let's toast with a margarita!

OMG! These look beautiful...not to mention delicious!
Wonderful cupcakes! Margarita is a great idea. I did pina colada ones once and they were very popular, I will have to try margarita ones.
So nice to see you at the party.
