Last night we had some friends over for "game night". We really need to do this more often as we have so much fun. The game of choice? Pictionary. It is so much fun with a crowd - does eight people constitute a crowd?
Laughing, talking some smack, drinking, eating, did I mention laughing? Til I cried - over shuffleboard no less.
The food was even fun. I went a little nuts on the game theme thing.

I made two difference kinds of cheese balls or cheese squares. Adorned them with black olive halves to make them "dicey".
Turkey Walnut Salad sammies on honey white and honey wheat walnut breads with bell pepper "checkers".
I made our famous "good shit dip" (taco dip) into a dartboard. My husband thought it needed darts so he made these out of bamboo skewers and electrical tape.

Our scrabble brownies were a good idea but as usual conception was easier than execution. Who really can cut a brownie with smooth edges? Seriously, who?
Completing the game buffet was the aforementioned Honey Orange Ginger Caramel Corn and Watermelon Daiquiris. Sorry I did not get photos of the drinks, but let's just say two pitchers of them were gone in no time. They were really good. The recipe I used was easy:
4 cups frozen watermelon, cubed
1/2 cup light rum
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup triple sec or Grand Marnier (I used both)
1/3 cup orange juice
Combine the watermelon, rum, Triple Sec/Grand Mariner, orange juice, and lime juice in a blender and process until smooth, scraping down the sides occasionally. Process until smooth. Keep chilled in frig (not freezer) until ready to serve in chilled glasses. This makes one pitcher.
