Expectations

It is no secret that I am facing yet another birthday this weekend. I know this sounds so cliche' but time is just going by way too fast. Didn't I just have one?

I've discussed (whined about) in years past about expectations and reality when it comes to birthday surprises and celebrations. I won't do that again.

So what do we have planned for the long birthday weekend?

First off, both my husband and I have taken Friday and Monday off to make it a a nice long weekend together. We may need therapy come Tuesday.

We are taking a one day trip to Cincinnati to shop at Ikea and Trader Joe's. Shocked?

Well, neither of us have ever been to these stores and Cincinnati is the closest. So we're loading up the truck and a cooler and going shopping.

The exact day is still up in the air. It is all dependent on the weather. We want to leave the dogs outside so we don't feel the need to rush back and they are calling for rain and thunderstorms off and on over the weekend. So we are gonna play it by ear.

I shall report back on the goodies we find.
