At forty something I often think about what I’d like to be in my next life or next career. When I chose marketing at thirty something it was for various reasons but mainly because I liked the psychology behind the theories.
I liked being able to find out why people made purchasing decisions. I was curious. It isn’t random by any means.
I hit a crossroads when I had to choose a specialty avenue of marketing. I leaned towards market research, advertising and public relations.
Few careers let you do all three. I didn’t choose research, but sometimes I wish I did.
Maybe next time.
