A colleague and I went to Churchill Downs this afternoon for happy hour.Yes, we chose the hottest day of the month to sit in the sun and sweat, but hey why not? We had our company picnic today and I had been in the sun for hours anyway.
Besides, I really love the sights, sounds and yes even the smells of the racetrack. The trumpet always gives me goosebumps.
Out of five races I cashed one ticket for $2.60. Where will I spend it all?
