I don't understand the point of paper gowns, drapes, skirts or whatever cute name the nurse likes to call it.
Is laundry that expensive? Could they not provide real sheets to cover our bodies during the unpleasant task of visiting the doctor?
I'd pay extra for a nice warm blanket like they give you after surgery. Then you could snuggle up like a bug in a rug and be all relaxed and peaceful instead of tensed up tight like a constipated poodle.

Paper?! Really? I just had my annual, and was given a cloth nightie for the top half, and a sheet for the bottom half, and told to keep my socks on...
No warm blankie, mind you, but I don't think I've ever seen a paper gown, or anything near one.
That said...things aren't that comfie even with cotton, when you're waiting for the doctor.
I totally agree with you! When I went to the doctor in my last state I actually complimented her for having a cloth gown vs paper. She looked at me like I was insane. I was serious though.
The paper products suck. And most of the offices are kept way too cold to expect someone to sit there in paper.
Thanks for the reminder to bring a wrap with me when I go for my physical on Thursday URG!
