The first step is admitting you have a problem.

My name is Melody and I am taking steroids.

And it sucks.

Due to the previously referenced shoulder injury, the good ole' doc placed me on oral steroids. Sure the pain is much better and I can move the damn thing. But who in the hell would willingly do this to their self?

I don't get why all these athletes are popping this stuff like candy and risking all star careers for this crap. And I don't even have to worry about testicles shrinking.

I do have stiff muscles and joints - without crazy rough sex to give credit to.

I do have a chronic sore throat probably from the horrible heartburn and acid indigestion the wonderful little pink pills have caused - which seriously hindered my alcohol intake over the holidays.

I do have swelling everywhere (why do their balls shrink when I am puffed up like a marshmallow?).

And we won't talk about how many frequent trips to the potty this little gal gets to make every day AND night. Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now.

Only three more days and hopefully things will go back to normal - please? please? I beg of you, please?

Did I mention the mood swings?

And to top it off, those little pink bastards taste wonderfully bitter, do they not?
Perhaps your 'roid rage will kick in over the weekend. Then, then you will kick ass, my friend.

Two more little pills left and I am done with this crap.

Yes the doc promised more energy as a benefit but I never got it. Only the urge to rip a few people some new ones.
