Cone Head

My poor baby came home with an "e-collar" which I believe stands for "extra annoying".
He is still really drugged and stumbling around like a sailor on a three-day pass. He has banged into the wall a few times with the cone. It kind of reminds me of my Roomba.

The downfall is he won't let me out of his sight and keeps trying to go up and down stairs which he isn't supposed to due to the stitches and isn't really able to due to the tequila (or whatever anesthesia dog's get). So I blocked the stairs with chairs and have camped out on the couch with him. The other two are outside demanding to be let in and sniff the patient. We'll see.
I had plans to do many things tonight since I've mostly recovered from my own illness. I think he might be crate bound...for his own safety and my own productivity.

I hope he heals quickly...crates are a good thing.

He hates the cone. He stands and trembles like he is dying with it on. He sleeps okay with it in our bed at night and does okay in the crate with it (like he has a choice). I have put an ace bandage (shortened since his leg is so little) on it and he seems to be leaving it alone. That enables him to be normal in the house and outside on a beautiful 65 degree day like today (no global warming huh?).

My puppy has managed to pull three stitches out. That had to hurt, why do they do that?

I like my Roomba. It doesn't do deep cleaning, but with three dogs (one very hairy one) it helps control the fleece floating around the house.
