That seems unreal.
I truly feel as though the entire year was spent on the process of moving. It was just a year ago we started looking and here we are, finally. Almost done, but never completely.
Actually we are done except for the lower level - David's studio. He has worked so hard to make it complete and nice with built-in cabinetry and nice paint colors. Unfortunately we have had some water problems that we think [fingers crossed] are finally resolved after an additional trip from the company that supposedly fixed it a week before and of course, $4,000.
All that is left is flooring. He is currently making "laminate soup". He has placed all his samples of different products in a bowl of water to see what will hold up best if in the worse case scenario - the basement isn't waterproof.
It will be nice for me and you for me to blog about something else besides the house.
But what?
Christmas was good. Peaceful, quiet and relatively painless. Murphy's biopsy seems to have come back okay. The vet wasn't in but the vet assistant thought the results were good. I'm going to hang on to that.
My shoulder/arm is getting better with some steroids. Though I do think an MRI is on the horizon to determine damage once the pain and swelling has resolved.
My parents spent the weekend with us and it was nice. We played cards all weekend. The Traveling McMahan's got us going on Rook on Friday and it became a marathon all weekend. Thanks guys!
Tonight we are going out to celebrate the year end with more friends... share a meal and enjoy more games.
Here is hoping your new year will be full of peace, joy and love - with a healthy dose of surprises - they keep our blood pumping!
Cheers! [and be safe].

Ha - got you hooked on Rook? ;)
We taught another couple friends to play this weekend too. It's a Rook revival in Louisville!
