I remember my parents trusting implicitly the weather forecast of these fuzzy friends in years past. So I googled my little friend to find out what awaits us for this winter.
According to WoollyWorm.com - the official website of the Woolly Worm Festival (we must live under a rock to not know this existed):
Wow - 85%. That beats the guys on tv."Mountain folk use the brown and black stripes on the woolly worm to predict the severity of the coming winter. Tradition says that the black
stripes predict cold and snowy weather while brown stripes point toward milder conditions. Over thirty years, the woolly worm has been all or mostly correct eighty-five percent of the time."
So what does an all black woolly worm mean?
Holy crap."An all black or mostly black woolly worm can spell a four month doom."

Wow, you are really making me look forward to what I consider the worst time of the year - Jan/Feb/March! I didn't even wear a coat to work today!
I need a tech question answered..please! The 9yr old/thinks she's19/wants an Ipod for xmas. NOT! I was thinking I could do an MP3. There are several on sale in the wee hours before I have to be at work Fri morning. But- aprox how many songs will a 1 gb, gh, gz??!#@%^$ whatever, hold? The ones on sale are 1 and 2GB. I can't put oodles of $ into something I will have to download at moms but it would be nice for it to hold a decent amount of music. Sugestions please & thank you!!!! Misty
I know iPods are more expensive but they really are nicer and easier to use. I got an iPod Nano at Sam's - 4gb- for $185 (pink no less). They also had 2 gb for $120.00. Just sayin...
I would guess that 1gb would hold appx. 150 songs.
Happy Thanksgiving!
