Go figure.

About two weeks ago I decided to give up red meat.

You have to know me to understand the levity of this decision.

I love steak.

I love a good hamburger.

Sigh.

I did it for better nutrition - not as a diet. With all my health issues, it seemed the logical thing to do and probably very belated.

The surprising thing - I weighed myself and I have lost 3 1/2 pounds.

You have to understand how much food I have eaten over the past 4-5 days. We hosted a national convention at a "nice" hotel and ate catered food throughout the event. Full meals with dessert each setting. Not to mention the drinks. Alcohol carries some whopping calories.

After all that, I still lose. Just by not eating red meat.

Go figure.
