I thought the same thing and wondered if anyone else noticed that this "other guy" was never named.
I think that was because his family had not been notified yet.
Most of the time the media will not release the names of victims until they can be assured that their loved ones will not hear about the death on TV or radio.
The exception is, of course, when the victim is reasonably well-known, as was Cory Lidle.
