I am on a downward spiral to becoming the "crazy dog lady".
I know it isn't a far leap for us but I found myself browsing the local shelters' websites today. I kept emailing my hubby pictures and comments. I think he is worried now.
Let me remind you - we have three dogs - three inside dogs that sleep with us every night. His final comment was "there is no more room in the bed".
I have been informed that no new dogs unless by attrition - how horrible!!!
But on that note it is difficult to predict the first casualty. Murphy is 12, but still acts like a puppy. He is a small healthy dog - hell he could and probably will outlive me.
Bear is only 7 but has had hip surgery, has seizures and is allergic to everything.
Shelby is 5 and the youngest and the only one with no illnesses - but she also has no fear. She likes to play "the floor is lava" and walks from couch to loveseat and back on the arms. She leaps up and down the stairs both inside and out. She runs like a speed demon around the yard and over lawn chairs, etc. She used to jump into the swing and ride it. Then like all two year old kids - she drops wherever and falls asleep. Only to start all over again.
I'm feeling really morbid thinking about this. Bad mama, bad mama.

Wow. You and my oldest daughter would get along great - she states she will have a "dog farm" when she gets older. I think she means it. She wants to raise any and every dog there is to this earth.
More power to ya. I can only handle the ONE we have. Boy, I love her, but could handle no more.
