Garden Hose?

Tomorrow I head back to the hospital for another ERCP or as I affectionately refer to it - "Mack Truck Driving Through My Body".

I sincerely hope and believe this will be the last in a long list of procedures. One can only swallow so many garden hoses.

What have we discovered in this journey?

  • There is always one nurse who is in the wrong profession. The rest are angels, but Nurse Ratchet is a bitch on steroids.
  • I am much less modest than I was this time last year.
  • I prefer smaller hospitals - much more personal.
  • I really like Vicadin.
  • My puppies miss me when I am gone - actually I already knew this, but it was always just the little one who suffered. These past few visits and travels, the bigger one has been dumping my clothes basket and making a bed in my dirty clothes. So sweet...and stinky.
  • I finally have a diagnosis. I have something that only 2% of the population has. I always knew I was rare :-))
  • That I have great friends, both virtual and local.

Thank you all for your good thoughts. It must have worked. I came home the same day which was not what they or we expected since I didn't last time.

Horrible procedure, but it's over with.
