I am not a news junkie, but I do like to stay on top of current events, both political and entertainment, nationally and internationally. Not an addict of Enquirer-type rags, but basic curiosity about the world we live in and amused at the often-times, stupidity around us.
I periodically listen to NPR. I can't take too much at a time as I believe the monotone speeches about the world's oldest dung beetle can seriously rot your brain and send you into comatose f**kland.
But, I do enjoy listening to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" each week. It actually airs on Saturday and Sundays in various markets across the county. Our local public radio station doesn't carry it, but never fear - the internet saves the day (yet again).
I enjoy listening and learning I might add, about the events of the week and laughing along with the host and contestants at the "too good to make up" material. I encourage you to visit the site and if you liked this week's show, check out last week's, and the week before - they have archives for years back and let's face it - what was stupid and hilarious then, is still stupid and hilarious today.
Enjoy! No need to send thank you cards.
