Whether you are a Louisvillian, geographically close enough to participate as one, or observing from a distance, you are drowning in DerbyFest.
I do not believe it is possible to pack one more event in a two week period. We have already had the hot air balloons, thunder (fireworks), Run for the Rose' (winos), marathons and food, food, food.
Today was the Great Steamboat Race, tomorrow the parade, Friday is the Oaks, and Saturday, well we all know what Saturday is.....the day I pull weeds in the garden,
and Kentucky Derby day.
Come Sunday it will be like "wham bam thank you ma'am" and back normalcy (whatever the hell that is).
Derby on....derby on.

isn't the derby some sort of horse show or something...
Don't forget the rule: "Put in tomato plants on Derby Day. No earlier."
mgc: something like that
dott: never heard that but then again I don't do tomato plants - always thought I'd like to but I'm sure my dogs would have a blast with the "balls"
