Pain In The....

All my adult life I have experienced this odd occurrence of pain. I've mentioned it to my husband at the time who basically looks at me like I am nuts and goes back to sleep. It always happens in bed and by morning I often forget it. So I don't believe I have ever mentioned it to anyone else.

Well last night it happened twice in the same night and I decided to do some research. Googled it and got nothing - absolutely nothing.

Okay I guess I am nuts.

So now I look to you, my vocal, opinionated, knowledgeable, virtual friends who never fail to provide laughter, knowledge and serious critiques of the latest fashion faux pas. Don't fail me now.

Have you ever awakened to intense, acute throbbing pain in the entire external part of your ear? I mean the "oh my god" kind of pain. The kind your leg gets after it fell asleep while you were sitting on the floor indian style too long. [ side note: why is that called indian style?]

Keep in mind that this pain was so intense it brought me out of a vicadin coma, not once, but twice.

My theory is I have fell asleep with my ear folded and hence, it fell asleep like the leg thing.

What do you think?

I think you're nuts. Just kidding, you're theory is good. Try wrongdiagnosis.com and type in your symptom.

i have never heard (no pun intended) of such a thing. i agree that your thought of falling asleep could be correct. my wife is a RN, i will ask her next time i see her. she has lots of DR friends so maybe she can ask one of those quacks!

maybe try more vicodin!
