I am an ostrich at heart.

I know I've been vacant from blogging, such a slacker. Just call me McFly.

You remember back a few years ago when the "whole body scan" craze started. Companies set up traveling diagnostic spots where you could get an entire body CT scan for $100 or whatever.
When that came about, I immediately knew I had no desire to have such a thing. There are just some things I don't care to worry about. May not be wise, may drive medical professionals nuts, but that is how I feel. Now I know why.

For those of you who don't know, I have been fighting pancreatitis and gall bladder problems for awhile. They peaked over the holidays and since then I have been trying to get somebody to take the gall bladder out as it is the ultimate culprit causing both problems. I've been to doctor, surgeon, and now specialist.

I had a CT Scan, HIDA Scan and another ultrasound on March 2nd. I got my test results back (finally). The HIDA Scan finally gave them the evidence they needed to declare my gall bladder non-functioning and surgery is scheduled, along with another procedure (because....well they can). Hurrah!

However they told me the CT Scan shows a cystic lesion on my left ovary. What?

I didn't go in there for that. What has that to do with my pancreas?

Now he has added yet another test to address that.

Has advanced medicine really helped us out by providing more knowledge? In my heart of hearts, I know the answer is yes. Its just that with all that is going on, I don't need something else to worry about.

Aaaaaaaaah!
