Melody's Pick For Any Day

NPR recently posted A Librarian's Pick for a Rainy Day: a list of books from a very wet Seattle librarian to dry the mind and soul.

I decided I would post Melody's Picks For Any Day:

Straight Man by Richard Russo

Jemima J by Jane Green

Domestic Pleasures by Beth Gutcheon (really anything by Beth)

A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel

The Entire Mitford Series by Jan Karon

A Little Help From Above by Saralee Rosenburg

Ten Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Went Out into the Real World by Maria Shriver

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

In my list, you'll find something to make you laugh, cry, think and remember. Enjoy!

I'm re-reading A Girl Named Zippy right now. I just finished her sequel to it - kind of dark and depressing.

Wow, that is too bad. I was looking forward to reading it. I really enjoyed Zippy. Thanks for the warning.
