We joined the rest of the world on Monday and went to the movies. Serioiusly, I think 80% of Louisville was at this one cinema. Note to self: Don't do that again next year.
Anyway, we watched Munich; Spielberg's tale of the 1970's horror. Not being a history buff or old enough to remember this event (nice to actually say "not old enough"), I left with more questions than I went in with. Fortunately my husband is a history nut and the rest of the day was spent with me asking questions and he providing me with just the right amount of information for each question. Thanks honey.
Being present for so many conversations over the past year and a half at work regarding Israel and Palestine, it seemed to fill some gaps and create some more. If his intention was to cause you to think, it worked.
I don't understand everyone's anger towards the movie though. It seems so shallow to only see one side of the story.
We have been watching the 5th season of The West Wing this weekend as well. It dealt with the Israel/Palestine topic as well with the season finale being when Donna, Andie and Fitzwallace were blown up in Gaza. More food for thought.
