Now that I have a useable project room and lovely project table (thanks honey), I have tried to use it on a frequent basis.
I was creative over vacation on various projects and just love knowing I can go in there anytime and create...something.
Yesterday I tackled what I avoided the entire week I was off - the sewing machine.
I swear to God it instills the deep seeding fear inside me and I don't know why. As a friend pointed out, in its basic form it is a power tool and I love power tools.
As another friend pointed out, if 9 year old girls in China can do it, so can I.
Sigh. So I couldn't let that type of throwdown go unacknowledged.
I did it.
I made that sewing machine my bitch.
Well, kinda.
I cut off two pair of my slacks and one pair of pajama bottoms and hemmed them. Then I cut off seven pair of David's docker-style pants and hemmed them into shorts.
Hooah!
Today it was all about card making. I didn't get as many done as I would like, but the ones I did complete are quite nice, if I don't say so myself.

Very cute. Are you going to sell them to Hallmark?
Uh....no.
