Redneck Dinner

Just to show you that not all meals prepared in this place are gourmet, not by a long shot.

Our dinner consisted of pigs in a blanket made with Lil' Smokies and refrigerated crescent rolls, and what we like to call "redneck fondue" - cheese soup with tomato sauce, garlic and seasonings served with buttered toast points.

And for dessert - Banana Smores.

Vanilla wafer, slice of banana, piece of Hershey's milk chocolate bar, half a marshmallow - broil and top with wafer. They were really good.

Looks yummy - although I will pass on the Lil smokies - I don't know if they make them diff there - but here we call them lil grease bombs.

Usually after the holidays when I have lots of frozen finger-type foods to serve to guests (ya nothing like homemade :)), we have a clean out the freezer meal using up all the dregs - so end up with things like, sausage rolls, chicken fingers, mini egg rolls, meatballs, cocktail shrimp and cheese and crackers - nothing like a winter picnic.

Looks good to me! A pig in a blanket around here is made with breakfast sausages
